How does it work?

Usually each property is owned by a UK Company. As a Fractional Freehold Owner, you will own a defined proportion of the company and equally the underlying asset – the Property.
The diagram to the right shows a 4 Owner structure (the number of members permitted is established when the Company is incorporated.
Owning property in this way means you own a defined share of the freehold of the property – “the bricks and mortar”.
Fractional Freehold is sometimes confused with timeshare, however the fundamental difference is that Fractional Freehold is true ownership, you are acquiring an asset and will gain from any appreciation in the property value and can sell at market value anytime.
